Marked. (4/10/11)

What can I say about this book, other than that it’s freaking amazing!!! I’m not even kidding. The way this book, and the whole series, was written is just spell binding! All of the characters develop in their own unique ways. Take the main character, Zoey, in this book. She starts out as mildly depressed and complaining teenager. After she’s “marked” she goes to her grandmother for help, after everyone else looks at her as an outcast. I don’t want to say much, because this book is much better when you experience on your own. The only way I can personally explain it is amazing. It puts you in a semi-realistic teenage world. Other than the fact that it’s a group of vampyres, they’re really all just teens trying to live their life. This review is so hard to write, because I don’t want to spoil anything. In fact, I’m not going to review it, I’m going to praise it as much as I can, and pray that you read it yourself. If you don’t, you’re missing out on a lot.

Thanks!!!

You need to know!!!

Okay, so my last post was somewhat vague I guess, so I'll just announce some things here... First, there's a slim chance that I might start vlogging as well as blogging... I don't feel like my personality comes out in text, so vlogging might help with that... Second, I'm going to start reviewing Anime and Manga by chapters, and episodes soon!!! (But I think I'm going to save it for vlogging just so my personality comes out!!!)... Third, umm... I can't remember 3rd... Hmmm... Well, I guess lastly, a preview for tomorrow... The book I'm reviewing has been Marked as a best seller, and is my favorite series ever next to Harry Potter!!!

Blog #4: Infinity. By, Sherrilyn Kenyon (4/1/11)

Infinity. By, Sherrilyn Kenyon

I must say, this book was pretty decent. It wasn't an over the top kind of book, it was more of an average Teen/Fantasy kind of book. It's like Harry Potter, meets Underworld, meeting a Cajun bayou in New Orleans. To summarize the book, it basically about this teenager named Nick. He's exactly the main character you'd expect. He's an outcast without many friends, and he has unbelievable powers that he's unaware of. Then, so irrelevant things take place, and he meets a girl named Nekoda, or Kody, whatever you want to call her. Then, some more stuff happens, and he's out late at night, and meets up with some local "thugs". They ask him to help them, and he'll get part of the profit. During the service, he has a change of heart, and decides to try and stop them... The thugs smash his face in, and shoot him in the shoulder (A pleasant little day in the city I guess...) Then, this guy Kyrian finds him, and takes him to the hospital... More stuff happens, and Nick decides to pay off the hospital bills by taking a house service job for this Kyrian guy... (I think somebody should give Chris Hansen a call... Just saying...) Blah blah blah.... Again, stuff happens, and Nick meets this guy Bubba, he's your typical, "The aliens took me in their ship and probed me" character (Except he's into Zombies...) At the end, Nick finds out that he's the strongest Dark-Hunter alive, and that it's his job to save the world (or at least that's what I picked up from it... I'm just using general book knowledge...)

Overall, I'd give the book a 42/50... It's not the greatest book in the world, but it is a good read... I'm not one for Zombies (Yes that plays a role....) But I still suggest that everyone read this book. It wouldn't get on my main book shelf (and yes, it's hard to get on that shelf...) But, I'd say it'd be a strong contender on my second book shelf... It's definitely ahead of Twilight... So yeah, read it!!! I might sound like a cynical ass this whole review, but it's all meant in fun, it's actually a really good book!!!
P.S. I'd like to thank my friend Andrew for loaning me the book!! Thanks Andrew!!!

P.S.S. Here are the 3D pictures from the AR cards I said I'd post!!!

(This is just the first 2 cards... I'll call it set one... There are one or two sets left for me to upload, so get excited, cause they're coming in my next blog!!!)

P.S.S.S. I talked to Nate, and we agreed that we need to start posting more reviews, so I'll be posting Tuesdays and Fridays, and he'll be posting Mondays, and Thursdays!!!

Thanks for reading @ litgeekreviews!!! I hope you enjoyed your stay!!!

Blog #3: The Fourth Bear (2006) 3/28/11

The Fourth Bear (2006)
        By, Jasper Fforde

This book is a fictional novel loosely based on common nursery rhymes and bedtime stories, which are mixed together to form a somewhat complex plot . However, the amount of adult content and humor makes it a suitable read for both adults and young adults.
The main character, Jack Spratt, investigates the murder of a reporter who tried to uncover a huge conspiracy. Throughout the book he finds an abundant amount of clues as to the actions and current whereabouts of said reporter, while still being able to track and attempt to capture the murderous Gingerbread Man.
Though the writing style may take some getting used to, the story is exceptionally well written and interesting. The reader may find it difficult to put the book down for more than a few minutes, being that the story flows so smoothly and captures the reader’s attention.
I recommend this book to anyone interested in reading young adult fiction.
Other books by this author: The Big Over Easy, The Eyre Affair, Lost in a Good Book, The Well of Lost Plots and Something Rotten.
